The Academic Committee is the body responsible for determining conference policy and structure as well as modes of submitting and reviewing the proposals. The committee members have been selected on the basis of their expertise, their positions, and their experience in the knowledge area of the conference as well as in the management of an international event.

Prof. Luba CharlapDeputy for Academic Affairs and Head of the Center of Textual Studies, Lifshitz College of Education, Jerusalem; Lecturer, School for Advanced Studies, Herzog College, Jerusalem.
Prof. Shmuel BolozkyProfessor of Hebrew in the Department of Judaic and Near Eastern Studies of the University of Massachusetts Amherst and its Hebrew program coordinator.
Prof. Ora R. SchwarzwaldProfessor Emerita, the Department of Hebrew and Semitic languages at Bar-Ilan University; Member of the Academy of the Hebrew Language.
Dr. Orly AlbeckCoordinator of in-service courses at the Academy of the Hebrew Language. ​
Dr. Hani MussaSupervisor for teaching Hebrew in Arab schools in the central region at the Ministry of Education.
Rachel NaparstekAn expert of teaching Hebrew as a Second Language at Bar-Ilan University.
Dr. Michal GolanHead of The MOFET Institute.
Dr. Ainat GubermanDr. Ainat Guberman – Deputy head of the Research Authority at The MOFET Institute; Lecturer at The David Yellin Academic College of Education as well as in the Department of Education at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Dr. Sara ZivHead of the "International Channel" at The MOFET Institute.

About The Conference

The conference will focus on teaching Hebrew as an additional language to diverse populations in Israel and around the world, and on the challenges facing teachers, teacher educators, researchers, educators, and policy makers in the field.
